I'm trying to use harddrake to install/configure my soundcard. It gives me
options of "Terratec Soundsystem Base 1" and "Terratec Soundsystem Base 1/
MIDI", which are ISA and using modules ad1816 and mpu401 respectively. For my
card (Shark Predator ISA with Waveblaster) it seems correct. But it doesn't
autodetect the correct port or the FM device. And the install doesn't actually
work at all. It gives an error "modprobe: Can't locate module isa-pnp".

My modem is one of those hardware PCI Actiontecs. I know the kernel can't
detect them yet (had to manually modprobe). It does work when set up through
Draknet, but I get several minor annoyances: "Dialup Options" doesn't reread
the old configuration and I have to type in everything again each time; it
doesn't seem to configure some things (giving nonroot users permission to
connect, using a different init string, whether to redial when disconnected,
whether to log the commands sent to/from the modem); cancelling can sometimes
cause a core dump. Also, how should I start PPP? I've been using "ifup
ppp0", which certainly works, but there has to be some graphical interface
that doesn't require Gnome or KDE.

Does anyone know if "locate" is in the distribution anywhere? (I actually
use it.)

Minor bug: The startup screen with the text logo claims I have "One 850
Mhz AMD AMD Athlon Processor Processor 127M RAM". The repetition of the words
AMD and Processor make the line overflow onto the next line, ruining the logo.
(What should I do to report minor bugs like this anyway?)

Supermount seems to be causing me problems. I've gotten a kernel panic from
various combinations of mounting, unmounting, switching disks, and supermount.
