And you didn't read the various postings on mandrakeforum.com? There you
have the solution, provided in LM 8.0 by using "alternatives", meaning
alternative kernels. Go read it...
I installed 8.0 on IBM Thinkpad 760XD and got no probs. Only thing is, if
I change from X to a console with ctrl-alt-bs and come back to X with
alt-F7 my mouse is frozen and I have to ctrl-alt-bs out of X. But with
xterms around I really don't need to go to consoles too often.
