Yes. I've been trying to track down that problem myself for a couple
days now. This happens (at least for me) whenever I try to use the
Konqueror web browser to reach any https site. This is apparently due to
two conflicting programs released on the 8.0 cd:
1) Konqueror built for a certain version of openssl (i'm guessing 0.9.5b)
2) openssl 0.9.6 (a different version)
I haven't tested this (because I don't want to go through the pain of
installing all the packages that depend on it again, and because I'm a
little leery yet about installing non-vanilla packages (I'm new to
Mandrake in particular).
Could someone else a bit more adventurous verify that this is indeed the
problem and suggest a solution?
