[expert] CUPS and print options

Hi
How can I set the options for printing when using CUPS? My printer is a 
Brother HL-1250, which is capable of 1200x600 dpi. I only get 600x600 from 
the test print page. But when I print from GIMP, I can select the resolution 
"1200x600 dpi" from the print setup window.
