Hi, User of mdk 7.2 i'd like to test mdk 8.0 before having to make migration to this new system. So i tried expert install without success: after package installation and config confirmation (about keyboard, language, printer and co) DrakX hang when trying to install LILO (it hang when it tried to put lilo on disk or on HD !!!). And when i say "hang" i mean completely LOCK-UP (impossible to access console with Alt-F1 to F5 !!!) and need a hard reboot. As i really wanted to see what mdk 8.0 look like i made many experiencies to solve problem. I never performed a complete expert install (hang on lilo configuartion). But i had more success with recommanded install which work perfectly (lilo installs well, so it appears to be a specific expert mode install problem). BUT, if i want to make migration of my actual mdk 7.2 to 8.0 i NEED to perform an expert install on my computer. So what to do ? anyone had this and solved it ? Bertrand.
