Just to make sure: there's an ancient error to avoid. Make sure there is
NO space at the end of the line. Look at it in an editor where you see it.
As an example: I have a working isdn connection in Germany with the
/etc/ppp/chap-secrets looking like this:
'username' * 'password' *
The space between username, asterix, password and 2nd asterix is created
with 1 TAB each.
Now make sure there's the LF/CR coming right after the last asterix and
put the username and password in Anfuehrungszeichen (what's that in
english???).
