It's a Mandrake 8.0 AND/OR KDE Bug.
You must do a workaround,eg: create a file called /etc/sysconfig/desktop
and one entry = DEKTOP=GNOME;
After reboot, you will see that you have choosesn gdm as you Login
Manager and
now everything works fine !
