I installed Mandrake 8.0 with kernel 2.4.3
Now, I compiled 2.4.5
2.4.3 when it's booted, it shows some graphical things, a welcom mesage and
then a graphical frontend for the booting up process, showign what it's being
run.
How can I reproduce this with the new kernel ?
This new kernel, when booting, left the screen blank, but worse than that,
nothing ever appears in the screen (I'm running x (kdm)). Anyway, when it
finishes (the hd stop) I press ctrl+alt+del and it reboots.
