Hi Everyone,,

I have a question I have seen asked a couple of times, but never answered..

When compiling a kernel,

Where can I get a list of what is selected in the standard kernel??

In other words,, I'd love to start with the defaut mdk kernel options and
then chop and change from there..

I ask because I always end up forgetting something I needed and only find
out when booting the new kernel...

So if I can start with the same options that mandrake use's when creating
their version of the kernel, I can keep it as close to that as necessary and
just change what I need.

If I could figure out how to do that, I'd never use a precompiled kernel
again...

Also, when mandrake releases a secure kernel, what exactly have they done to
achieve that?

I am currently using 2.2.19-4mdksecure kernel, and I was wondering what the
difference was??

Any help would be much appreciated..

kindest regards

Frank
