Hi all,
I have a strange behavior on my Mandrake 8.0 box: Some process keeps adding IP
addresses from the local network to my hosts.deny file by themselves. After deleting
the content of the hosts.deny file, some address keeps coming back. My quick fix was
to add all these addresses to the hosts.allow file. Since hosts.allow is parsed before
hosts.deny, this is working great but I'm still wondering what's going on. I checked
for any cron script files, but none of them seems to perform this kind of behavior.
So basically my question is: who is adding new entries in my hosts.deny file and what
can I do to make it stop?
