Dunno what he's saying - but you do not need to reformat. The only time
when you'd need to reformat is, when you created a reiserfs 3.6 parition on
a kernel 2.4 system and want to use kernel 2.2.
Upgrading from kernel 2.2 to kernel 2.4 works with no problems at all.
And going from SuSE 2.4.x to Mandrake 2.4.x also doesn't cause any problems.
