There is a perl scritpt that uses curl to retrieve hotmail and forward it to
a pop account.  It's called gotmail and can be found on freshmeat.

was that it can't be done with hotmail.  The _only_ utility that can read
mail remotely from hotmail is..... (drum roll please) ...... MS Outlook
Express.......  Go figure.
