I'm trying to set it up so I can access my home directory from my windows
box... I've got it so I can mount the windows directory on the linux box,
so I'm not totally clueless...
I ran smbd -D and did a ps xa | grep smb and it didn't show up so I tried
running it again same result, but when I looked in the log file, the
second time it complained that the address was already in use, so it must
be running...
when I do a network neighborhood check from the windows box I can't see
the linux box listed, and when I tried to connect to the share (I was
guessing at the share name) \\computer\username but it didn't connect...
I did a smbadduser and set a password so that isn't the trouble...
Can anyone add anything here?
