I have that problem with perl as well,,, installing modules and stuff...
I think in my case its C thats the problem not perl,,,,
anyway,, I don't understand what it means by setting the local,,,, or how to
do it... (it still works the way it is,, but the screen scrolls dozens of
locale errors,,, drives me nuts..)

Subject: [expert] upgraded to XFree86-4.1.0
Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade to XFree86-4.1.0, but last time
I tried to use the Software Manager to get it from
cooker, it had dependencies including glibc, perl, and
eperl just to name a few. Once the upgrade finished,
XFree86 worked, but I had tons of perl errors
everywhere, even just typing perl would ask me to set
my locale settings?
Should I not use the MandrakeUpdate utility, just get
the normal XFree86 binaries from the XFree86 site?
Thanks,
Aj
