Hi,

XFS is quite fast and stable. But I am struggling to
find ways to install it with LM8.0 install program. At
the moment I have to install it onto ext2 partition
and then cp -a all files into the XFS partition. The
question is how to make the installation program in
Lm8.0 understand XFS. I try one time using blank.img
and copy the XFS kernel onto it (vmlinuz) and start .
The kernel does understand XFS , of course the
installation program doesn't have mkfs.xfs so I create
it before by hand (using my custom boot-root disks)
and hope that I dont click the format partition...;
but it gives the error message that it can not mount
the XFS partition. I could not find the way around
this. As in debian I can start a shell and mount it by
hand and skip the stage in the installation program.
Can I do that in LM8.0 and how?

Thanks in advance.
