Hi,
I've got an intresting problem. I recived a dual pII 333mhz box
with a Micron Samurai rev 0 IDE controler chip set that, i beleive,
linux has a problem with. It won't and errors out with....
PCI: Enableing device 00:19.1 (0004 -> 0005)
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:19.1.
SAMURAI: chipset revision 0
SAMURAI: not 100% native mode: will probe irqs later
I search around on google and found that the issue was brought up on the
kernel mailing list a while back and was said that it didn't work in
early 2.2.x kernels but works in 2.1.x kernels. which really isn't
something that i want to have to do. I was hopeing that someone else
has one of thease and knew what to do.
BTW: i tried disableing all the ide controlers in BIOS and booting linux
that way and it sees they're disabled just continues to look at them.
Anyone know how to tell linux not to use IDE?
Thanks,
