Oscar,

Star Office can be a bit buggy at times. The "fix" on my system, for
what you have described above, was to install the TOTAL package to the
"user" directory (in your case that would be "/home/oscar/office52"). Do
not take the default option for the destination "/opt/office52". It
seems that putting the program binaries in a different location causes
soffice to seg fault. At least, this method will allow the user, oscar,
to do his work without the seg fault. Give it a try....
