Your best bet would be to go with some Xeon-capable mobo.
As for storage, I know that Compaq has some very good storage
controllers at:
http://www.compaq.com/storage/siteindex.html#raid
Look specifically at the "RAID Array 8000 Ultra SCSI".
and the "HSZ80 Ultra SCSI Controller".
btw, any SCSI RAID controller will support levels 0, 1, 0+1,
4 & 5.
My databases use these controllers and they are VERY fast,
but something tells me they are pretty expensive. (I don't
buy them, I just use them...)
