Title: /bin/sed input output error on boot....

I just compiled 2.4.9 and everything went smooth and everything works but when I boot I get a problem right when it goes to start up the network.  It give me something like /etc/rc5.d/S10network: /bin/sed input/output error (that is not exact but pretty close).  After boot if I manually start the network from runlevel 5 everything works fine.  I can even go into linuxconf and start network from runlevel 5 and it works there too.  Has anyone seen this problems?  Have anythoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

Rich
