It's supported, look at the SANE homepage http://www.mostang.com/sane/sane-backends.html It should be a matter of making sure the scsi driver is loaded, gimp and sane are installed, and that the (x)scanimage program is set up correctly. The setup consists of making sure that the file in ~/gimp/plugins/ is a symbolic link. I think mandrake sets this up automatically. The find-scanner command is also helpful.
