hi faisal, why do you dont try it without wvdial. for example my ppp-start-scripts: start-ppp: #!/bin/sh ##################### # make connection over ppp # # zsolt, 19.4.2001 # pppd call isp-test isp-test, in /etc/ppp/peers ttyS0 115200 connect '/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/ppp/chat-isp' noauth chat-isp, in /etc/ppp/ 'ABORT' 'BUSY' 'ABORT' 'ERROR' 'ABORT' 'NO CARRIER' 'ABORT' 'NO DIALTONE' 'ABORT' 'Invalid Login' 'ABORT' 'Login incorrect' '' 'ATZ' 'OK' 'ATM1L1' 'OK' 'ATDTXXXXXXXXXXXXX' 'CONNECT' '\d\c' you have also to configure options in /etc/ppp and maybe if your isp uses pap or chap, pap-secrets and chap-secrets. if your isp uses clear-text passwords, you can attach pass and login to your chat-isp. like name: login word: password more information is available in ppp-howto and the pppd man-pages.
