Heh, actually I'd rank the Avro Arrow farther up on the list. That's
where the Yanks got most of the technology for the F-1x's. Canada had a
twin engine high altitude fighter JET before the rest of the world, 
which when scrapped most of the engineers went to McDonnell Douglas. 
[I think it was McDonnell Douglas] My father worked on that project and
was very bitter that it was scrapped under U.S. pressure.
This was in the mid 50's - quite an acheivement.
