I'm still confused. My PC BIOS provides only a time, not a time zone.
Until the install gets as far as asking for the time zone, the installer
knows nothing about where the machine is situated. If it is assuming the
clock is at UT, how is the system able to subtract several hours as a
function of time zone from files created earlier in the install? The
later created files are showing time matching my VCR clock and the local
TV stations.
