with all the stuff with the kernel 2.4.7, I feel since Mandrake will soon be releasing the 8.1 version I'll update my whole system instead of bits and pieces of it.. since it looks like the 8.1 release will have the 2.4.8 kernel to it and any new or newer lib files also.. saves on problems as from what I have been reading on here..
