It will be released when it is ready. That means a good journaling
filesystem and most of the major bugs gone. No deadly showstoppers and
nothing that would force a user to hard reset.
There is a schedule but it is not announced because we are rarely able to
follow one. As murphy's Law #11 so aptly states, "Everything takes longer
and costs more." have you ever known a software company to stick to a strict
schedule? If you have, then they are likely keeping quality up by deleting
features, postphoning them to the next release.
