I don't know -- obviously I'm just guessing here, but if you've > got /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.9, then you've got your new kernel. Well.. I assume that it loads the kernel because once I boot up into linux again, it says 2.4.9 at the boot prompt (I go to command mode) > So what was the problem, anyway? Well, the problem is I'm obviously not configuring it properly (obvious if you look at the boot process after kernel upgrade). Last time I tried it.. I get a fs error (I assume file system?) on all the /hda* from linux. Then, once I finally actually get INTO linux, I have no internet access. I finally got internet access, but not after having to live with some ins? error (possibly insmod.. I can't remember off hand now) So basically I'm not configuring the kernels properly. That would be the problem :)
