NO 
Do not do that.
With the error you are receiving when trying to boot Win2k if fdisk/ MBR
is run it will make the system unbootable.
Rather, login to linux and as root run /sbin/lilo -u.
This will unistall Lilo and restore the previous bootloader, Win2Ks.
