Hello Ken, If you look at my web site at www.distrowatch.com, then you will know what I need. Basically, I am trying to maintain a record of present and past releases of various Linux distributions. It started as a small site, but expanded quite a bit (after lots of positive feedback) and the data is becoming hard to manage in the present static HTML format. So I am going to create a MySQL database containing all the stuff and use PHP to extract data from the database to supply it to the web server.
I am trying to collect all the data of the past releases. While Red Hat, Slackware and others keep all their past versions easily accessible, it is not the case with Mandrake. I spent a lot of time searching around but could not find much - some ftp servers still had the old versions some time ago, but even those are now gone. If you don't mind, I would really appreciate if you could save the rpm lists (of both CDs) into simple text files and forward them to me. I do have 7.1 and above (thanks for the link), but I miss 7.0, 6.1 and everything before. I have written to Mandrake also, but no reply so far. Thank you very much for your help. If anybody else on this list can help, I would be most grateful.
