You can do two things: EREASE the CDRW - that is easy, use the standard package cdrecord, and the command will look something like: "cdrecord blank=fast speed=4 dev=0,0,0" FORMAT the CDRW in udf, and than record things to it in a way similar to other drives (it would look like the normal hard drive). - that is a completely different matter and requires two sets of software: the packet-cd kernel patch (link above) and the cdrw tools form the udf package at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/packet-cd/linux-udf You actually need cdrwtool and mkudf from this package. There is some documentation with this two packages. The installation requires kernel recompilation. From my experience I can also add, that udf writing works better with scsi emulation turned on for IDE CDRW drives. If you are wondering I was/am using udf writing on Mandrake since the 7.2 version with no problems.
