2 other sugestions.
Try #1 first and if it fails to solve the problem try #2.
#1) To the append line in lilo.config add nobiospnp
rerun lilo and reboot your system.
#2) Edit the append line in lilo.config change devfs=mount to devfs=nomount
Rerun lilo and reboot.
