I tried running my UT without the xserver having the module "glx" enabled. No success getting my sound to work that way, neither. I had to change the graphic renderer to SDLSoftDrv.SDLSoftwareRenderDevice in order for it to work. The other two graphical options complained about not having the "glx" extensions. I still received no sound after switching it from ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem to the Audio.AudioGenericSubsystem. I created a ~/.openalrc file and put "define native-use-select #f. Still no effect. Anyone know what particular drivers (ie arts, alsa, etc..)? Save me, please. ty in advance.
