I tried exactly that with a a source CD mounted to directory-wth-data. Seemed to make a perfectly good CD, but it won't boot. Tried copying the same CD with windoze EZ-CD Creator and it boots. Do the CD's you make that way boot? I don't see in the CD-Writing-HOWTO any indication for all those mkisofs switches.
