I think that Bill's reply speaks for me. RpmDrake should at least tell 
the user that the package is there. And/or there should be a release 
note pointing that. Besides, whats is more dangerous, installing a 
kernel or removing it? RpmDrake let a user remove it.

Finally, as I told you, and perhaps you might not be used to that, 
winmodens are very commom here. Not to mention other drivers/programs 
which also need compiling. And a newbie is BOUND to use them sooner or 
later. Also note  that it's likely to run into unsatisfied dependencies; 
many newbies will ask "what the heck is ncurses??"

So I think that it is a good idea to at least TELL people, specially 
newbies, that rpmdrake wont install the kernel-source;  and point the 
way to do it via console. And also, WHY isn't the kernel source 
installed in the recommended install even when the development option is 
   marked?
