Just to update . . . I recieved the Abit KG7 Lite mobo by FedEx yesterday. The chipset is the AMD761 northbridge and VIA VT82C686B southbridge. Mandrake 8.1 gets along fine with it; I'm using a 1.4G AMD Thunderbird and .75GB RAM. Price: US$ 120. The clockchip-impaired ASUS A7A266 is now relegated to Windows98 service since Windows likes it just fine. Hoyt
