I have noticed that with KMail, periodically when trying to send mail, I will get an error message that KMail cannot connect to my smtp server (mail.attbi.com). This only started after the my @home service, provided locally via AT&T, was terminated and I was switched to att broadband over my calbe modem. I never had this happen before with ATT@Home.
If I then exit KMail and restart it, the queued mail sends just fine. I have KMail set to send mail via the send queue, rather than to send immediately. I have had no such errors connecting to the same server to retrieve mail via POP3. My system is MDK 8.1, with the default KMail 1.3.1 with KDE 2.2.1 that ships with this release of MDK. I am using the default kernel that shipped with the release, 2.4.8-26mdk. Any thoughts? Neal
