The boot.log file seems to me to point to the boot log entries after the init process starts. I need the entries before that. My problem is I created a new kernel. It boots fine, after the POST, I get some error about a missing /lib/..., but it scrolls too fast for me to read and then INIT starts. By the way, my system is running fine. I have not noticed anything amiss! George
