(not directed at Tom) 1. kppp should *NOT* have graphing on by default 2. there is a memory leak therein which should be fixed; whether it is due to a real leak, or one due to bad design/implementation, I see no reason for kppp to continuously grow its memory requirements... one does not need to log all traffic for plotting. My point is this: on 7.2 and now on 8.1, I asked why this problem persists and am told to "turn off graphing"... IMNSHO, graphing should NOT be on by default; the graphs are not visible by default, and their visibility is not even presented as an option IIRC -- so why must the user be subjected to arbitrary and unseen memory exhaustion on a whim...??? Talk about a way to turn off new users... <SIGH> Pierre
