First let me thank every one that responded. Syed, ya hit it right on the head, I wasn't compiling before trying to run the file. I compiled using g++ as suggested and it works like a charm. I suppose in retrospect, I should have caught the problem because there was never any ".o" file and an IDE will usually have a runtme compiler built in. The curious thing here is that during the winter quarter last year I was taking a beginners C++ class and I could write the "Hello" thing and chmod +x it and run it. Used VI to write it, too <G>... Oh well, fun 'n games starting now.. Thanks all.....
