If I do a ctrl-alt-F7, I get a completely blank screen, its getting a sync
signal, but there is nothing on screen.)

It starts X, and it sits there doing nothing, no errors, it doesnt' drop the
X connection, just no image.

I have flashed the bios, tried a million different settings, there is very
little in there you can do with regards to bios.
to be quiet frank, IBM bios sux. :-)

So I can't use the bios, X is not giving an error that I can chase up, there
is just nothing.

X is running, but almost paused at the line I mentioned earlier.

I have no idea what is going on.

any thoughts?
