I just tried to do an 8.1 installation on my new computer and found that
even though I did an expert instal and made sure the 2nd and 3rd cds
where checked (and I did need to change cds during the instal phase) a
number of packages where no available for me to select during the
individual package selection part. For one, sendmail was missing as a
selection, even the dhcp-client (to be fair, I selected static IP for my
network card but I always installed it anyway in case i need it lateer).
I like to install virtually everything on the cds except for what I know
I do not need or want with the idea that it's better to install it now
then have to find it later or in the chance that I will find a new toy
to play with. Is this just a problem with my cds or is this the way the
instal works now? I really don't want to have to use MandrakeUpdate to
install all these many more packages. Does anyone know what I can do?

Tom
