I hope so... :^) [testing...]

YUP! I used to use NS, now sylpheed(0.7.0 -- from
http://www.sylpheed.org), as my main mailer and pine on the road while
ssh'ed back to my desktop system. Whilst on the road, sylpheed is not
running... leaves my mail in /var/spool/mail

I setup pine to not delete mail from the server, auto-bcc myself on
compose to keep a copy and just read/reply/compose normally. When I get
back to the desktop, sylpheed sucks all the messages out of
/var/spool/mail and although pine set "Status: RO", sylpheed doesn't
care... looks like new messages... just delete the messages from pine's
inbox next time and I'm done.

Works for me :^) though you should test the reverse since pine is your
primary... Pierre
