What version of LM do you have? try exiting gnome, removing ~/.gnome/session and restart. or if you are more radical (eliminates all config files! Do it *at your own risk*!!!!!) you can do: cd ~/ rm -r .gnome* rm -r .galeon rm -r evolution rm -r .nautilus* If the version of mandrake does not work for you, you can use ximian gnome.
