Pierre, Thanks very much! Looks like this is working on my Mandrake 7.2 installation (waiting for the first result, but it's chugging away). Didn't work on Mandrake 8.1, but that just may be more evidence that there are problems with that installation. Ah, finished -- interesting, the md5sums don't match, but I suspect there was some padding. I may burn a second disk just to see if two disks with the same image burned to them produce the same md5sum. (I see that in your case they did -- if mine don't maybe I've got a problem in the burner (which I don't suspect).) (I burn my disks with Easy CD Creator -- would not surprise me if they do some padding.) Thanks again, Randy Kramer
