About two weeks ago, CompUSA had a sale on the SMC Barricade Wireless
Router. After rebates, it was US$170 and you get a free wireless PCMCIA
card.

I've used the Barricade to replace my linux firewall. So far so good
although it does not have any syslog capability.

I haven't gotten around to trying the PC Card on a linux machine as my
wife is the one using it on her laptop. Otherwise, it's ok. The router
is in the basement and she can check e-mail and get on the net from the
second floor.

There's a hardware forum on SMC at dslreports.com. E-mail me ifyou have
questions.

Cheers,
