Alexander, I've never used it, but I'll explain it as I understand / envision it. I think of it as an automatic built in CVS system. Every time you save a working file, it is stored into the GoBack thingie. If you realize that you've lost something, or made significant mistakes, you can go back (!!) and retrieve any old version of the file that is saved. I don't know exactly how the user interface is implemented. I'm assuming it only checks in a revision when the user saves the file, but that could conceivably include autosaves (based on time) or automatic saves based on some other criteria. When I said that Microsoft incorporates GoBack since Win2000 or ME, I may have been exxagerating. What I saw them demonstrate once (at an LVCG meeting) was a feature that if you lost (or damaged??) any executable (or critical) file from the operating system (and perhaps selected applications -- I don't really recall), they would automatically be restored. My impression of the way this was done was that a backup copy was stored somewhere on the hard disk (perhaps compressed). When I said "or damaged??" above, I really don't know if this was incorporated, but it could go so far as to do a checksum or similar on each file, and restore a file if the checksum was bad. regards, Randy Kramer
