And, another useful preference choice there is "Group Similar Tasks". I have started to create notes for these kind of things on Wikilearn (at its temporary site), see http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Wikilearn/Kde221TaskbarProblems. Others are welcome to add or improve notes (and use the site for reference).
