yeech, its not that hard. Heres how I did it..
Install and setup postfix.. (the defaults are fine for most, and all you need to is setup hostname and server name and stuff like that. piece of cake..) then install fetchmail, and as root run fetchmailconf (or do it manually if you are that way versed.) it will create .fetchmailrc in /root and you should be sure to run it as a deamon. It will automatically pass mail onto postfix.. it has worked for me on about 5 servers.. get postfix working first.
