do a search on the newbie archives for Trend Filescan,

I have posted details on it many times, its under free-tools on their site.
yes its free, I didn't notice anything saying for personal use, just that it
was free, but it could be for personal use.

Use it with amavisd and postfix.
amavis.org
postfix.org

its a very efficient system, if you need more speed, (high mail turnover,
(over 15000 messages per day or so) then you can run it in connjunction with
Trophy, which is a deamonised system using filescan libraries. since it
doesn't have to start foro each message, (it stays running) it is much
faster to scan attachments.

Subject: [expert] Antivirus for Linux

Hey all. I'm trying to get antivirus scanning of my postfix mail server, and
need an antivirus scanner. Is it true that TrendMicro's InterScan is free
for personal Linux use? the web page doesn't say that, but it was mentioned
on a mailing list I'm on.

If not Trend, then who would be a good one? Most of the ones I've looked at
are either commercial, or are time-demos for Linux, or don't do removals,
just scans. I can do commercial, if it's a good one, and not too expensive.

Anyone doing this?

(I'm going to be using Amavis to call out the scanner; supposedly, it
integrates well with postfix.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
