It's not so much that lilo can't find the /boot partition as lilo can't be found. I could be very wrong, but doesn't lilo have to be on the mbr of whatever the mobo sees as the primary drive? If the mobo is seeing it's onboard disk controler as the primary disk controller (and the secondary) and the promise ide controller as the third, then when the bios trys to hand off the boot prosses to the mbr there is nothing to hand it off to. Just a thought. James
