Hi,

since upgrading to ghostscript-6.53 the utility ps2epsi stopped
working. There is an old standing problem in line 66 (a missing
leading space, or tab). But since the upgrade I get a new error:

$ /usr/bin/ps2epsi /usr/share/ghostscript/6.53/examples/tiger.ps

I could work around this problem by commenting out the line 1613:
(.locksafe) in file gs_init.ps but I have no idea what I am doing.

Any postscript gurus out there?

I am running Mandrake 8.2 cooker (updated on March 4, 2002) with
ghostscript-6.53-5mdk.
