Hi, since upgrading to ghostscript-6.53 the utility ps2epsi stopped working. There is an old standing problem in line 66 (a missing leading space, or tab). But since the upgrade I get a new error:
$ /usr/bin/ps2epsi /usr/share/ghostscript/6.53/examples/tiger.ps Error: /invalidaccess in --.setdevice-- Operand stack: --nostringval-- Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 1 4 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- Dictionary stack: --dict:1037/1476(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:68/200(L)-- --dict:19/30(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Current file position is 8771 GNU Ghostscript 6.53: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 sed: -e expression #2, char 15: Extra characters after command I could work around this problem by commenting out the line 1613: (.locksafe) in file gs_init.ps but I have no idea what I am doing. Any postscript gurus out there? I am running Mandrake 8.2 cooker (updated on March 4, 2002) with ghostscript-6.53-5mdk. SK
